1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your computer or phone. It lets the site remember things, such as the fact that you are logged in.

Which cookies we use and what for
We use as few cookies as possible: only the ones needed to log in and to book.
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your computer or phone. It lets the site remember things, such as the fact that you are logged in.
We set three ourselves. One remembers that you are logged in to the guest area, one does the same for the admin panel, and one remembers that you entered a valid returning-guest access code. Without these cookies you cannot log in. They disappear when you log out, or shortly afterwards.
Booking runs through Tommy Booking Support. That system sets its own cookies to remember which dates and which bungalow you picked, so your choice is not lost while you book.
If Google Analytics is switched on in the booking widget, visitor numbers are recorded: which pages are viewed and how often. Those figures are about visits, not about people, and we only use them to improve the site.
Your browser can block or delete cookies; you will find it in the settings under privacy. If you block everything, logging in and booking will no longer work.
